Gran Canaria: next Dunas Festival to start on August 12

The Dunas Festival 8th edition will take place from August 12 to 17 in Maspalomas, on the very gay friendly island of Gran Canaria, in the Atlantic Ocean . Six days of festivities and entertainment for the summer gay tourists who visit each year this Canarian Island massively (300,000 annual gay tourists accoridng to the Tourism Office).

In the middle of August, the festival has become is now a not-to-be-missed event for those who love to come and enjoy the unique climate of Gran Canaria. Parties, sightseeing, a cruise, pool parties, the Dunas Festival combines fun and relaxation, with an eclectic and varied program that will allow you to discover something more than the infamous Yumbo Center, where you will find almost all gay venues of the island.

The opening night will take place at the Kiss Fm Lounge in the Yumbo center on Tuesday, 12. The first pool party, "Capoeira Pool Party" is scheduled the next day, in the Los Tucanesa bungalows.

Thursday, August 14, a bus excursion will drive you through the interior of the island, often ignored by gay tourists. You will have the opportunity to discover Tejeda, one of the most beautiful villages of the island, perched in the highest mountain peaks over 1000 meters. It offers breathtaking views, overlooking the Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga, two of the most important natural monoliths of the island. Visiting local museums, typical Canarian architecture, shops, restaurants, will also be part of the tour. To end the day , a very  hot gay "Dress Code Night" at Club Reds .

The next day, on August 15, another pool party, "French Kiss Pool Party", this time at Nayra bungalows. On Saturday, the very succesful catamaran cruise returns for a 4 hour 100% gay boat trip aboard the Sagitarius VIP and around the island. The festival will be ending on the same night with the sleazy party at Bunker, one of Gran Canaria’s sex clubs.
