Les Deux Chevaux Guesthouse is situated between Puivert and Esperaza, in the Val de Faby in the departement of Aude. For first time visitors to this rural part of France, you may be surprised to discover that the local area includes a diverse queer community and offers a warm welcome to all. The area is ideal for outdoor activity enthusiasts and history buffs alike. You can enjoy wonderful countryside walks right from your door or you can explore further afield and discover for yourself the spectacular scenery of the Pyrenees Audoise. The area is popular with cyclists and the Tour de France passes close by each year. Rafting and Kyaking is available on the River Aude and in the summer you can enjoy nearby lake and river swimming. You are also close to the ancient "Cathare" castle sights such as Montsegur or Peyrepertuse; Carcarsonne and Foix are all less than an hour drive away and the Mediterranean coast is only 90mins drive away. Collioure and the stunning "Cote Vermeille" are well within a day trip. For a more relaxing stay, our local restaurant, "Auberge de Faby, offers delicious lunches and dinner using local organic produce. Any trip to France must include a visit to a market, here in Rouvenac the local growers cooperative host a village market every Friday morning. Every Sunday morning, the renowned Esperaza market takes place in the town centre where you can find local fresh produce, artisan crafts, music and even dancing.

The hosts took the time to best showcase their accommodation. Their home is now ready for your stay and they look forward to welcoming you as their first misterb&b guest!Guests can make full use of the guest garden areas and utilise the sun loungers and table and chairs. from June until the end of August guests may be able to enjoy the outdoor spa but are kindly requested to shower before using.
Guests are welcome to enjoy teas and coffee made available in the Salon.
A guest fridge is available, in the Salon, for guests to use as needed.
We request that guests do not smoke inside at Les Deux Chevaux but smoking is permitted in the terrace area. During the dry months extra vigilance is requested when disposing of any cigarette waste.
Visitors are requested to be considerate to other guests and keep noise to a minimum.
No pets are allowed but the hosts do own a cat, but who is not allowed inside guest rooms.
As some guests may have family and friends nearby, visititors are authorised by arrangement. Only registed paying guests are permitted to stay overnight.
All guests need to be able to provide official ID so the appropriate details can be recorded for the local Taxe de Sejour.
Check in is available between 16:00 and 20:00 with exceptions by request. Check out must be completed by 11:00 on day of departure.
