Montpellier is considered one of the most gay-friendly cities in France. In 2013, under the impetus of Mayor Hélène Mandroux, the city was the first in the country to host a gay wedding, once the law was passed. Quite naturally, the Montpellier Gay Pride has become one of the largest in the country, along with Lyon and Paris.
As the event approaches, this Saturday, the municipality of Montpellier has already paved the heart of the city with the colors of the rainbow.the march, which is the most important street demonstration of the year in Montpellier, will take place on Saturday from 6 pm, with 20 floats that will lead the procession under the slogan "Promise is action. To back down is to betray". The "March of Diversities", after a stop on the Place de la Comédie, for speeches, will end on the square of the City Hall with a giant aperitif that will begin around 9 pm.
From midnight onwards, the closing parties will take place in 4 partner clubs: Moom, Nabu Club Gay, Addict Show-Girlz and Villa Rouge. 50% of the price of the tickets is donated to the association organizing the gay pride Montpellier, to finance and develop its activities throughout the year.
During this week, the Lesbian & Gay Pride of Montpellier Languedoc Roussillon also organizes the "Resto Pride" operation at its partners. This operation allows you to enjoy a "Pride" menu at a preferential rate between July 7 and 14 in four restaurants(Fantasia, Marvelous, Tamarillos and Nouveau Monde). There are also official befores from July 10 to 13 inclusive, from 8pm to 1am, in six bars (Appart Café, Boby Chéri, Heaven and the new ones, Cubix, Coxx and Marvelous) and an after party at the Koncept Sauna (Sunday July 13 from 5am)!
