This 200-year-old cottage in the Lake District seamlessly blends tradition and modern luxury. It offers an open-plan bedroom with a super king bed and a luxurious ensuite bathroom. The lower level features a comfy lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy off-street parking, an electric car charger, and a serene outdoor seating area. The fully enclosed hot tub is a year-round delight!
Nestled within the picturesque Lake District National Park, this exquisite 200-year-old cottage seamlessly blends tradition with modern luxury. The cottage has undergone a complete transformation, emerging as a comfortable modern one-bedroom retreat that promises an exceptional getaway!

Inside, you'll discover an open-plan bedroom adorned with a sumptuous super king bed, complemented by an ensuite bathroom featuring a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower. The lower level offers a plush lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen, providing all the comforts of home. The kitchen provides all the pots, pans and utensils necessary to make a meal for two along with an oven/hob, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, a cold filtered and boiling water tap, microwave, toaster and dishwasher.

Outside, the cottage hosts dedicated driveway parking for one vehicle, complete with exclusive use of an electric car charger. A charming seating area invites you to soak in the serene surroundings. The highlight, however, is the fully enclosed hot tub, ensuring year-round relaxation. Robes for both guests can be found in the bedroom, intended for use when walking between the cottage and the hot tub.

Conveniently situated in the charming village of Lindale, near Grange-over-Sands, this cottage offers easy access from the M6. It serves as an ideal launchpad for exploring the Lake District's breathtaking landscapes. Moreover, you're a stone's throw from the coastal allure of Grange-over-Sands and the gastronomic delights of Cartmel, making it a haven for food enthusiasts.

This lovingly restored cottage invites you to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Lake District while relishing in all the modern comforts you need for a memorable getaway!
Guests have access to the whole cottage, hot tub and garden area, as well as the driveway. The cottage driveway is suitable for one vehicle.

An electric vehicle charging station can be found on the drive and is exclusively available to guests.

Lindale is an easily accessible village when travelling by car, with the main roads allowing convenient access to the M6, A590 and the Lake District.
Situated in the South Lakeland area, Lindale is a charming, lesser-known gem that captivates visitors with its rich history and natural beauty. Originally named Lindale-in-Cartmel, its history dates back centuries, and evidence of its past can be seen in its well-preserved buildings and quaint lanes. The village was traditionally a farming village, although its most famous resident was John "Iron-Mad" Wilkinson, an ironworker and inventor who lived in the village from 1750 where he owned the Castle Head estate. He produced the iron for and helped design the world's first iron bridge (at Ironbridge and Broseley) and made the world's first iron boat in 1787. A large iron obelisk stands in the village as memorial to him.

On the rolling hills surrounding Lindale can be found spectacular views of the Lake District fells. The scenic landscape invites leisurely walks and exploration, with opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife spotting. Lindale is home to the beautiful St. Paul's Church, a Victorian-era architectural gem with beautiful stained-glass windows and intricate stonework.

Lindale's proximity to the nearby village of Grange Over Sands and the greater Lake District National Park means it serves as an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts interested in hiking, cycling, and water activities.
The nearest train station is the Grange-Over-Sands train station, which is a short 5-minute drive away. The next nearest train station is either Arnside train station, or the Cark & Cartmel station.

Local taxis do operate in the area, we always recommend making a pre-booking when you are able!

The nearest bus stop are found a short 5-minute walk away, these are the Lingarth bus stops found along the B5271, seeing local services such as the X6. Slightly further out, an 8-minute walk from the cottage, the Coppice and the Stonebeck Cottage bus stops see regular stops from the 530, 523 and the X6 routes to name a few.
We cannot accept pets and respectfully ask that you leave your furry friends at home for this particular trip!
