Welcome to your dream vacation home in the heart of San Diego, perched high atop the hills of Mission Hills on California St! This beautifully remodeled duplex boasts breathtaking views of downtown San Diego, the sparkling bay, the airport, Point Loma, and even South Coronado Island off the coast of Baja on clear days. Come experience the best of San Diego from the comfort of your own private oasis!
The moment you step inside this luxurious and modern retreat, you'll be transported to a world of comfort and elegance. Every inch of this rental has been meticulously updated and tastefully designed to ensure your stay is unforgettable. With two bedrooms and two baths, this home is perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends looking to soak up all that San Diego has to offer.

Please note that this home is a duplex, and we have another rental on the lower level. Each property has it's own separate hot tub. The only area that is shared is going to be the very lowest outdoor level where we have some lawn games.
This home comes with a two-car garage and an abundance of free street parking. And thanks to our smart lock system, you'll be able to breeze in and out of your home away from home with the ease. The morning of check-in, you will be sent an email with the smart lock code and any other relevant details for entry.
Mission Hills is a neighborhood in San Diego located on the hills overlooking Old Town and the San Diego Bay, just north of Downtown, west of Hillcrest and south of the San Diego River valley. It is one of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods. The area is primarily residential with some locally-owned shops and restaurants. It is one of the most architecturally impressive neighborhoods with many of the houses from the early 1900s, which have been carefully preserved and restored. Modern homes were built as infill along canyon rims in the 1950s and 1960s. Mission Hills is highly sought after with its stately homes, quaint Craftsman bungalows and large mansions pristinely manicured on quiet streets. The business district is home to a variety of restaurants, shops, pubs and services.

Top Suggestions:
- Stop for brunch at Cafe Coyote for an authentic Mexican experience (<1 mi).
- Grab dinner at Ironside or Bencotto in Little Italy. Then, enjoy some dessert at Salt & Straw (3 mi).
- Spend some time soaking in the sun at La Jolla shores (10 mi).
- Rent a bike and ride through the lush gardens, historic walkways, and numerous museums of Balboa Park (5 mi).
- Catch a baseball game at Petco Park (6 mi).
- Visit Coronado Island to enjoy the all-around views of the beach, the iconic bay, and its picturesque small-town streets (7 mi).
A quick walk to Old Town San Diego for Taco Tuesday or a quick drive to everything San Diego has to offer. Tons of amazing bars and restaurants within a 15 min walk! Street parking is plentiful.
Quick Note: The garage is currently not available to guests to park their cars. We recently improved some of the furniture in both units and are currently selling the old furniture. Apologies in advance!

While my first priority is ensuring my valued guests enjoy their stay, I have an equally important commitment to the safety and comfort of my neighbors and community. Please read the following list of property rules and things to note prior to confirming your reservation:

NoiseAware
We are utilizing a noise monitoring software in this property called NoiseAware. While NoiseAware is not a recording device, it does monitor noise levels to ensure they remain at a level that is respectful to our neighbors and to alert us of fire alarms while guests are not present at the property.

Duplex

Please note that this home is a duplex, and we have another rental on the lower level. Each property has it's own separate hot tub. The only area that is shared is going to be the very lowest outdoor level where we have some lawn games.

GUEST
• For security purposes, guests who wish to make a reservation must have a completed profile on the booking platform, including a clear photograph of your face (so we know the person booking is in fact the person checking in).
• You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property.
• Check-in is 4PM or later. Check-in instructions will be sent via email the morning of your stay
• No illegal activity or illicit substances are permitted on the premises: Doing either will result in eviction from the property, and may also result in law enforcement involvement.

PETS
• Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at the property.

DAMAGE
• We understand accidents happen. In the event of damage occurring at the property, we require that all guests report any and all damage during their stay, prior to check-out.

LOCALS
• Due to restrictions placed on us by our landlord, and as a condition pertaining to our ability to host, we are unable to accept reservations from guests local to the area (within 60 miles of San Diego). By booking, you hereby accept and agree to this condition and that you'll be required to show proof of residency. Any reservation which does not comply with this restriction will be subject to cancellation.

SMOKING
• Our property is 100% smoke free; including both private and communal areas, the unit itself and any other public areas within the building and the communal property regardless of whether inside or out. You must be totally off of the premises and on public property to smoke. If you're a regular smoker and feel you'll have a hard time following this rule we kindly suggest you look into another property. Evidence of smoking will result in a complete forfeiture of your security deposit.

EVENTS & GATHERINGS
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for noise complaints, parties or gatherings of any sort. Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. QUIET HOURS are daily from 10PM-8AM.

SECURITY
• This property may implement video surveillance in outdoor public areas to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Additionally, this property may also use Noise Aware technology to ensure the comfort and security of our guests.

VISITORS
• We ask that all guests let us know in advance if they plan on having any visitors during their stay. You may not have additional guests unless previously authorized by the host.

FILMING & PHOTO SHOOTS
• If you or your company are interested in utilizing the space for film, television, music video or photo/film shoots of any kind, please contact us via the message portion of the site to discuss details, approvals, pricing, etc.

PLEASE NOTE
• Guest agrees to hold the Host harmless against any and all loss, claims, causes of action, demands and/or costs and expenses that may be incurred by the guests in relation to the unit rental. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Subletting the property is strictly prohibited.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
• We highly recommend our guests purchase travel insurance to protect them against any issues that would cause a guest to have to cancel their trip. InsureMyTrip offers plans from 21 different carriers, have an easy-to-follow website that allows you to compare and contrast each policy or e-mail details to yourself, and offer a wide range from standard policies to 5 star coverage. If you do a quick online search it should pop up.
