Gay Seattle is, of course, known as one of the best coffee cities in the States, with a vibrant café culture. But the city impresses foodies with a variety of bistros, from seafood to wonderful Asian fusions. Stroll the vendors at Pikes Place Market and be sure not to miss one of Seattle’s great gay restaurants.
Julia’s On Broadway is a favorite haunt of the local gay community for its classic American fare and long weekend drag shows. Strong drinks complement an extensive menu, the stand out of which is the Margarita mixed with an upside down Corona!
Vegetarians and vegans will be pleased with Plum Bistro, a healthy restaurant that doesn’t sacrifice flavor or innovation. The restaurant is a wonderful, modern representation of the health conscious and environmental scene thriving in Seattle.
C. C. Attle’s is another city staple. The bar and grill serves sinful bar food alongside classy cocktails with a lovely patio underneath enchanting string lights. The venue proudly states “Good Food, Great Drinks, Never a Cover.”
Quinn’s Pub on Pike Street makes some of the best burgers in town in a subdued setting. Hop lovers will fangirl over the substantial collection of local craft beers.
Try something new at Nue, which collects and serves dishes from around the world in a modern setting. Nibble on tapas-style mini dishes or commit to their unique entrées. Adventurous eaters – you can even order bugs here – will love adding the Nue passport stamp to their book.
Unicorn and its sister bar Narwhal amuse Capitol Hill with carnival-themed spaces, drinks, and food that will take you back to your childhood at the state fair. Try their upscale corndogs and funnel cakes.
Don’t forget to begin the day at one of Capitol Hill’s favorite coffee shops, Cafe Argento, which makes a mean brew and serves up highly-reviewed bagel sandwiches.
