As a host I aim to make your comfort a priority so you have an enjoyable stay.
LOCATION: My house is clean, safe and relaxing and very conveniently located. I'm only 6 subway stops from the Gayborhood and 3-6 stops from most of Center City destinations. I offer to share my house with you to enjoy, relax and recharge. I enjoy hanging with guests when schedules allow or giving them their space. I won't let anyone go hungry ; coffee,tea and baked goods are always offered in the mornings (more on request) and if I cook dinner it's likely offered to be shared. I am always happy to feed people when schedules permit.
There's usually plenty of safe, free parking on my street, often it's easy to park across the street where you will see your car from your bedroom window.
ROOM: The guest room is the larger, front bedroom, furnished with a really comfortable bed. It's an easy work-from-home space with a desk. There's also a bookcase, a dresser and night table at your disposal in addition to a small ironing board and iron, white-noise machine, ceiling fan and AC with remote controls. * please note, on weekdays during normal school months, mornings can sometimes include some activity out front - parents dropping off kids at the daycare center on my block. It's a city and not guaranteed perfect silence. There's a white noise machine in the room though.
You'll have your own bedroom and as much privacy as you want; it's comfortable to sleep or work in as you wish. The rest of the house can be shared freely with respect for you and from you. The shared bathroom is roomy, and has a large walk in shower that offers plenty room to enjoy.
CLOTHING OPTIONAL: I'm happy to offer a nudist, open-minded vibe at my house if a guest indicates interest in that. Your comfort is priority, so that is NOT something that will happen unless there is interest expressed by you. So it's up to you to let me know what you want, or at least ask about it. This has no impact on me accepting booking requests. FYI, I consider myself a "top" notch host, and a home nudist and I'm happy to join you if there's mutual interest. Otherwise, it will be pretty chill and normal as any other clothed bnb as a default.

I've got a printed list available in the guest room of many great restaurants and bars that are walking distance from my house. I can share this with you ahead of your arrival if you book.
An easy 3 block walk to the el train ( elevated subway) station that gets you into the center city (and gayborhood) area in just 15 minutes. At the station, there's also a city bike share station so you have easy access to a bike too. I have lots of free street parking on nights and weekends on my street.

Martha bar: hip vibe bar that features all that's local and regional w/great outdoor space, 10 min walk from house.
be sure to ask about gayborhood recommendations in center city as well as close by dive bars. :)
Places to check out if you're looking to explore gems in Philly:
Old city has a lot of historic spots like Independence hall, the Liberty Bell and Elthred's Alley and the Betsy Ross House.
The Mutter Museum is not huge but full of the most quirky and fascinating historic collections of medical anomalies (best to eat lunch AFTER you visit, than before).
The State Penatentary is a unique must-see spot worth a couple hours of your time. I highly recommend it.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art has "pay way you want" night on Wednesday Evenings! It's the 3rd largest art collection in the USA and a great museum. The Rodin museum on the Parkway is always pay what you want (though they don't make that obvious!) and that is next to the Barns museum (you may need to get timed tickets ahead!) which is a unique collection worth checking if you like impressionist work especially. Ask me about many other spots regarding art.
