Compared to other gay-friendly destinations in this part of the world, Tel Aviv, one of the gayest destinations in the Mediterranean has been suffering from a lack of cheap direct flights, especially during summertime. But the signing of the Open Sky agreement between the EU and Israel in June augur that this barrier would fall.
And this is just what is happening now : airline Transavia announces a direct flight from Paris to Tel Aviv at a very attractive rate, with three flights a week (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) from April 10. Flights from Paris will depart early morning, flights from Tel Aviv around midday.
According to the Israelli Tourism Office in France, the fare will start from €145 (round trip) and €75 (one way), depending on conditions and availability.
A few weeks ago, the Israeli press reported the opening of an Easyjet Paris-Tel Aviv direct connection from next summer, still not yet confirmed by the company.
Gay pride in Tel Aviv is the largest gay event of the year and will take place from 08 to 15 June (Parade on June 13) .
