Bienvenue chez Bernardo
Having lived the first 25 years of my life in Portugal, and bet on an international career afterwards, Lisbon continues being the magical place I call home in the world.
Currently living in Amsterdam, my passion for travelling and personal development culminated with me applying & taking an international business master's degree in Madrid, followed by working in London in IT advisory, and now have been living in Amsterdam for the past 3 years.
I'm a firm believer that Lisbon is the most underrated city in Europe - Being referred to as the "city of the seven hills" by the locals, wandering around this beautiful city makes you stumble upon some of the most beautiful viewpoints in cosmopolitan capitals globally. Hugely due to its remarkable discoveries overseas in the 15th & 16th century, Portuguese gastronomy incorporates the freshest fish & seafood dishes you will probably eat in your life & the fantastic weather almost all year round will make you want to be out and about during your whole stay!
The way my friends & family describe me is as a charismatic, empathetic & very determined individual, who always puts those I love first. Normally my hobbies revolve around creating experiences to bring my family & friends together when I am in Lisbon, or travel around the world with a specific goal I want to achieve out of every trip (development), and I use sports as my therapy sessions (7 +30 mins light workouts per week).
I've always wanted to support, in the best way I could, the increased international interest in the country - by providing remarkable experiences whether to those visiting or that are moving into to Lisbon. In the future, moving back to Lisbon is definitely my plan: There is no better combination than a bright sun in the sky, welcoming & inclusive culture, international environment and foreign-friendly & an overall beautiful and sustainable city.
As a host, friend or acquaintance you can always count on my self-deprecation humor, dark humor, a "can-do" mentality & a general positive attitude towards life!
