Über die Wohnung

This newly renovated Deluxe Boutique One-bedroom Apartment is located in the heart of historical Paddington an architectural oasis on the doorstep of the CBD. It's Sydney's only surviving Victorian-era suburb and its tree-lined backstreets offer a visual smorgasbord of stunning Terrace houses.

Apartment 2 is on the 1st floor in a free-standing Federation building. 24-HOUR ACCESS is via a Private Walkway with simple Key-pad entry to the secure Building and Apartment. So NO NEED FOR KEYS.
The Apartment is approximately 45 sqm and has reverse-cycle Air-conditioning for that all-year-round ambient temperature. But if you thrive on fresh air then the Living area also has an over-head Ceiling-fan as well as French doors that open to a Juliet balcony which overlooks the Street and affords you distant City views.

The Bedroom with Ensuite Bathroom is located away from the street at the back of the Apartment and has a Queen-sized bed (i.e. an overlarge Double-bed) for a serene sleep. We also provide a Pedestal-fan in the Bedroom if you are adverse to sleeping with Air-conditioning. If you are traveling alone or as a couple, and privacy is not an issue, then the sliding Japanese-style Bedroom doors can be fully opened up to the wide-connecting Hallway for open-plan space.

The generous Living/Dining Area has a Double Sofa-bed which can comfortably sleep one or two additional guests if needed (although this would only be recommended for short term stays). There is also a comfortable leather Arm-chair and Coffee-table so that you can enjoy Netflix on your Smart-TV.

The Contemporary Art in the Living area is worth a careful study with its offbeat take on Sydney’s Luna Park and, there is also an eclectic selection of books provided for your enjoyment which are stored in the TV-unit.

The Wall-kitchen comes fully-equipped with a Refrigerator, Microwave Oven-grill, Cooktop, Cooking-utensils, Cutlery and Crockery for up to 6 people. There is also a Kitchenmaid Coffee-maker with a good selection of Coffee-pods as well as four types of Tea-bags which are provided to guests free-of-charge and are topped up regularly. On arrival you will be greeted with a complimentary bowl of fruit on the Table, a 750 ml bottle of fresh milk in the Refrigerator and three cereal options available for a light breakfast.

The Dining-table will comfortably seat 4 people and extra seating for guests is stored in the Service-cupboard behind the Ironing-board.

The One Bedroom Apartment is fully self-contained with exclusive use of a generous Ensuite Bathroom, a fully-equipped Kitchen and your own Dining/Living area in which to relax in front of your Smart TV which is connected to Netflix and Free-to-air Television. Guests also have WiFi access to the high-speed National Broadband Network while in the Apartment. The Local Council authority also provides a free WiFi connection while you are out and about shopping on Oxford Street in Paddington. Just connect to OxfordSt_FreeWiFi.
Guests are most welcome to enjoy the property.

For security purposes, check-in details will be emailed to confirmed guests 2 days before arrival for an easy smooth fast check-in. Kindly make sure you have submitted the security form with all the valid ID's of all adult guests staying so that you receive a seamless check-in experience :)
Paddington is an historic suburb which is a favourite amongst locals and tourists. It's famous for its well-known Restaurants, Coffee shops, Pubs (Bars), Art galleries and Fashion shops and the world-famous Saturday Market which has drawn International visitors for over 40 years. It's a genteel suburb very close to the city, so whether you’re young or getting on, conservative or liberal, male, female or LGBT, you can safely walk its streets at any hour of the day or night.
Situated at the Paddington/Woollahra end of Oxford Street, the Apartment is serviced by an Express Bus services that will deliver you to the bustle of the CBD or transport you to Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach in around 10 minutes. If you enjoy an early morning jog or a Tai Chi stretch then Centennial Parklands, Sydney's Central Park, is just 200 metres from your door. If walking is your style then you can amble down the Paddington Hill to the Harbour foreshore in under 20 minutes. Local brand shopping is a major Paddington drawcard but if you prefer International brands then the Westfields Bondi Junction Mega-mall is just a few minutes away by bus. For sports lovers the Sydney Cricket Ground is a lazy 10-minute walk away and, the adjacent Entertainment Quarter offers a good selection of Restaurants, Bars and Movie theatres from which to choose as well as the enduring Hordern Pavillion which most weeks features an International Touring Band or an Exhibition. For those who take their Cinema more seriously, the Chauvel Theatre and the Verona Theatre Complex are also close by and regularly offer Art House Cinema screenings and International Film Festivals as well as regular first-run movies. And of course once a year the famous Gay Madi-gras Parade takes place just a short stroll down the road. If you are running late for an appointment it is worth knowing that it’s easy to hail a passing Taxi right out the front of our building. Just be aware that Sydney is not like London where the Taxi drivers must have 'the knowledge' of the city to operate. The Street-numbering for Oxford Street recommences just two blocks away from the Apartment at its juncture with Jersey Road so, if you are unfamiliar with the area, always emphasise the PADDINGTON address to the driver or you might find yourself dropped off far from home base in Bondi Junction.
If you are a business traveller that is looking for a quiet but well-serviced location close to the city then you should take note that this Paddington Apartment is one of the few listings that is ACTUALLY IN THE HEART OF VIBRANT PADDINGTON and not in fringe suburbia or in an adjoining suburb. Its Shops, Restaurants and Bars are literally at your doorstep and not an annoying 20 minute uphill walk away.

If you've had a big night out this can certainly make a difference. While you are enjoying a short stroll home window-shopping under the cover of Paddington’s wide awnings your fellow revellers are most likely queued at a Taxi rank drenched in the rain, shoes in hand and with a newspaper draped over their heads. Not the best way to end an enjoyable night out.

Time is money, especially while you are traveling, and the convenience of the location which is well serviced by public transport will certainly save you plenty of both in the long run.

We try and make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. Entry to the building and the Apartment is by a secure Keypad (the codes are changed for each guest) so you don't have to worry about losing keys or playing key-tag if there is more than one of you staying.

All guest are required to complete an online insurance / security form. This step involves uploading an ID and a selfie holding the ID to verify the booking details. For the home owners security, only guests who are listed on the security form are allowed access to the property.

Linen fee of 35AUD if you need to use the sofa bed.

Australia is a tropical country, from time to time you may see bugs, spiders and insects, mostly harmless. We don't accept cancellations on the above but are at your disposal should you need any assistance. We regularly fumigate the property to prevent unwanted pests.

There is also a building boom going on through out Sydney we don't refund for construction noise if anything is going on in the neighbourhood however if there is works being done next door or in the same building we will have a note in our summary.

There is a non refundable 4.5% charge when you pay with a credit/debit card. All guests are required to complete an online insurance / security form before checking in. This step involves uploading an ID and a selfie to verify the booking details. Service fee is non refundable when booking is cancelled. Lost keys or keys not returned to the lockbox is a call out fee of $350. And $1000 for smoking.
