Originally from the Midwest (Champaign, Illinois), went to college in Indiana (De Pauw University), and graduate school in Chicago (University of Illinois), the Navy brought me to San Diego. Except for living on Maui for 2 years, have been in San Diego ever since , but enjoy getting back on island to relax and unwind when ever time permits. Makena Beach is my favorite!
I have been visiting Maui from the mainland since 1986 and worked on island and lived in the condo for 2 years.
I am quite active and enjoy the water,being an avid swimmer,both ocean and pool,so love Maui where I can do both. I use Maui as my escape, unwind, and reconnect time, so enjoy not only swimming, but hiking, running, gym, cooking, and reading. when on island. I swim and work out at the pools and gym at UCSD when home in San Diego and Black's Beach is a favorite for summer ocean swims or just relaxing ( and sometimes play!).
