In the beautiful Forest of Dean Wye Valley (AONB), Woofield Accommodation is comprised of 3 designer apartments attached to a Grade II Georgian house on the edge of Newland village – a secluded haven high in the hills, yet only moments from all the activities the area has to offer – hiking, kayaking, golfing and cycling to name just a few. Explore this enchanting area and come home to elegant lodgings in gorgeous rural surrounds and ‘The Ostrich’ pub a short stroll away.
Steeple View is an open plan studio apartment at the top of the building with a restful outlook across fields up to the ‘Cathedral of the Forest’. The apartment is sunny and bright and furnished with pine country antiques. It has dedicated parking at the base of its staircase and a generous eat-in kitchen with integrated appliances. There is a separate washer/dryer cupboard for guests’ convenience along with an Iron and hair dryer.
The king size bed (UK 5") has a new orthopaedic inner-sprung mattress which our guests all love! There are down and goose feather pillows with a synthetic fibre option to accommodate any allergies. Bed linen is all high thread count Egyptian Cotton and the overriding feel is one of calm and restfulness. The perfect pad for rejuvenation!
The classic tiled shower room has a Victorian stained glass roof light, the tumbled marble floors are soft and casual - yet luxurious and indulgent - much like the complimentary hand wash and body wash/shampoo. Egyptian cotton bath sheets and hand towels are thick and fluffy. Steeple View is the epitome of laid back country house chic…
Small well behaved dogs are welcomed for a £50 stay fee.
The sofa has a mattress quality pad suitable for a small adult/child's good nights sleep and can be made up for an additional fee.
PLEASE NOTE: Fire Evacuation Procedure
In the unlikely event of a fire this apartment is unsuitable for people with mobility issues due to the limitation on it's emergency egress which is down it's spiral stairs.

Nearby Attractions Initially in English, this text was translated via a machine translation service and may contain inaccuracies or errors.
The verdant Wye Valley marks the border between England and Wales, punctuated by Offa's Dyke and features some of the most stunning countryside to be found in both. There is much to explore and a myriad of activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, golfing and the many hiking and cycling trails the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean are famous for.
There are even underground caves to explore in nearby Clearwell, a sculpture trail and for the more adventurous "Go Ape" activity centre! Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle are both wonderful ruins to visit only a twenty minute drive away. Kath Humble's "Humble By Nature" is close by too and full of marvellous things to do with interesting courses and it's "Pig & Apple" burger restaurant.
Newland is a tiny village known as "The Chelsea Of The Forest". It is nestled into the hills and has fantastic access to eateries ranging from it's own "The Ostrich" pub less than a 5 minute stroll away, to "Tudor Farmhouse" and "Farmer's Arms" both an hours ramble up Rookery Lane in Clearwell, to the Michelin starred "Whitebrook Inn" a well rewarded 20 minute drive across the Wye.
One of the many forest trails adjacent to Newland ends up in Redbrook and you can walk across the old railway bridge in Wales and charming "The Boat Inn" pub. Shop for provisions at the many great local independent shops, supermarkets and the marvellous "Forest Deli" in Coleford only 5 minutes drive away, or the vibrant market town of Monmouth just a little further. The "Village Shop" at Brockweir is well worth a visit with a great selection of local supplies and you can enjoy refreshments in it's terrace cafe.......
