The cities of Alicante (seafront promenade, harbor, downtown and castle), Elche (palm garden) and Torrevieja (beach promendade) have great shops and shopping malls to tuck. Alicante (about 30km) has the biggest gay scene here. From Santa Pola you can go by catamaran or water taxi to Tabarka. The beach of the small island is very good for diving and snorkeling.
