Hi! We are a partnered gay couple that purchased this 1885 building in 2014 and have been bringing it out of disrepair ever since. After years of work (yes, we remodeled nearly all of this ourselves), we are happy to have two beautifully restored one-bedroom flats available for stay and two lovely retail shop spaces below. There's much more work to be done, but for now, we are welcoming friends and travelers into the building under the banner of 'Dandy Flats'. Guests can book directly on our website ********
Over the years we've watched Thomas become a dynamic and welcoming place for artists, musicians, and the LGTBQ+ community. As we built the Dandy, it was top of mind to create a safe and welcoming place for the queer community to visit and stay in rural Appalachia (where Justin was born and from).
