I am an environmental law and policy academic, often travelling for work.
My sometimes travelling companion is my partner, Paul (he's on the left). We are both Australians. We are planners and travellers, excited by what we might encounter as we explore little bits of the faraway world.
We've had great house share experiences in Malaysia, Vietnam, the UK, Croatia, Italy (wwoof-ing in Tuscany), the west coast of the US, including living for a time in SF, and just the one dodgy experience in a tent on the Cotswold Trail.
When we are not travelling or working, we like to find new and rediscover old places close to home to share with friends, build and decorate our little sustainable house in the countryside, and watch British television shows about people moving to the country! Come and stay with us in rural Victorian and you'll have the experience without the expense.
I like to think I am pretty international in my outlook, but I do have a soft-spot for Australian music, and claim that the perfect simple breakfast is Australian vegemite on toast.
