I'm a university professor (sociolinguistics & translation are my fields) and I love travelling and exploring architecture, history, and bookstores. I also recharge on the beach. I'm naturally a pretty social introvert, I can get down with the club scene some, but it's not usually my primary goal on vacation. I also love meeting people in small groups and learning about the local culture, queer scene, and exploring local but off the beaten track places.
I love checking out queer bookstores, getting recommendations from local queer authors and I'm looking for some interesting translation projects right now. I also adore drag shows and karaoke.
I'd love to find some hosts on here who can make my trip a little more personal, build some friendships maybe. I typically have opted for ******** or hostels when I travel, but I think for this trip I'd like to have a bit more human connection in the various places I go.
PS: I am married but we're open and often travel separately.
