Gay Strasbourg

Strasbourg is a European capital. Its historic center is classified by Unesco as World Heritage of Humanity. Ninth largest city in France, it is only 2:20 from Paris by TGV Est.

Strasbourg is certainly not a gay destination per se, but it has more of an asset to attract the gay traveler: charming half-timbered houses, narrow streets and canals of «Petite France » , a flamboyant cathédral, among the best restaurants in France, from the most prestigious to the smalled winstub

In December, the world rushes to Strasbourg for one of the most typical Christmas markets in France. At the crossroads of Europe, Strasbourg is an international city where you hear French and Alsatian obviously, but very often also German or English.

No gay district here, as you can have it in some other cities in France. You should know that locals are not afraid to cross the Rhine for the weekend to see what happens on the other side, in Germany. The Gay Pride is hold every year in June and is preceded by two weeks of festivities called Festigays.
