The gay beach of Grand Travers, located between Carnon and La Grande-Motte in the Hérault region, is a magnificent sandy beach, long and narrow, a little wild, quite different from the concreted beaches of the region. Gays gather on the other side of the road to extend their swim in the dunes and pine forest. Summer nights here are very warm. The beach is popular all year round, especially at weekends with gays from Montpellier and the surrounding area. The Grand Travers beach is one of the most active pick-up spots in the south of France.
