Gay vacations in Sitges on the Costa Dorada

Located about 35 kilometers from Barcelona, this beautiful seaside resort has everything to offer the visitor to ensure a perfect vacation in Costa Dorada. The weather is perfect for sunbathing, with temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees during the summer. There are eleven beaches, three of which are specifically gay - two of them are nudist. Everything is very close - gay friendly Sitges hotels, gay friendly Sitges apartments, stores, gay friendly Sitges bars, gay friendly Sitges restaurants and beaches are within a five minute walk of each other. Sitges is really easy to reach, the airports of Barcelona and Reus are the closest. Barcelona is the best option, as the airport is much closer to Sitges.

Sitges has plenty of restaurants to tempt you, many of which are owned by gay men. The summer months are busy, so it is recommended to book a table where you want to eat. There is a good selection of bars in Sitges. Once the bars close, then you can head to one of Sitges' four clubs, Atlantida, Rickys, Organic or Trailer. And after a day full of activities you can relax in a Sitges hotel or in a Sitges apartment.

Sitges offers many possibilities for cruising, the beach of Estanyol is the best place after dark, as is Las Balmins in the early hours of the morning. Stay safe - it's a good idea to leave your valuables safely in your Sitges hotel room. During the day, there's plenty of action in the woods behind the gay nudist beach. There are also two saunas: Parrots Sauna and Sauna Sitges.

Many hotels and apartments in Sitges are exclusively for gay tourists, such as La Masia Casanova and Los Globos. Many other accommodations in Sitges are mixed, but are very gay friendly, such as the Calipolis Hotel in Sitges, which overlooks the beach, or the Platja d'Or Hotel Sitges.

The gay beaches of Sitges are the Playa de la Bassa Rodona, which is in the center of the city and is crowded, the Playa del Muerto is the beach of gay naturists (the oldest in the world!), and the Playa Balmis is gay and is a mixed nudist beach.

As if all this wasn't enough, you can easily get to Barcelona on the train that connects the two cities. The connections are about every 20 minutes and the tickets are not excessively expensive.

Sitges is an ideal destination for a vacation on the Costa Dorada, which is also still in its wild state. The gay and straight communities mix harmoniously, creating a warm atmosphere appreciated by all.
