Gay Sunday at the Oktoberfest in Munich

You thought the Oktoberfest in Munich was a straight event  par excellence? Well, think again! This event attracts every year nearly 6 million visitors, making it the largest popular event in the world with Carnaval in Rio. But it is also one of the Bavarian capital main gay events!

mayor will launch the Oktoberfest 180th edition next Saturday. The Theresienwiese will host 15 days of beer orgies in 14 giant tents that can accommodate thousands of visitors per day, and 17 other smaller tents. Million gallons of beer will be swallowed up until October 6 and 500,000 roast chickens ...

The main gay event is held traditionally on the 1st Sunday, September 22, from 9 am in Bräurosl tent. Thousands of gays will storm the tent early in the morning, in traditional Bavarian dress, leather short pants and plaid shirt. These sexy hunks will then enjoy their day with beer, songs and manly hugs.

For those who were not able to attend the event for lack of space (and they will be many), two other rallies are planned next Monday (Rosl Montag from 3PM) and on Monday, September 30 (Prosecco-Wiesn).

Taking advantage of the presence of many gay tourists, gay venues in Munich also offer a full program of parties.

For more information, see the full program on the Rosa Wiesen website (in German)
