Located South-Eastern Victoria, this cosy private unit in very quiet neighborhood (separated from main house) attached to garage comes with large bathroom, free wifi & free breakfast is a 15 minutes walk to Monash university Clayton Campus & 8 mins drive to Chadstone shopping centre! This ensuite is perfect for travellers who are in town for a couple of days for work or leisure who enjoy their own private entrance & space. Due to food handling safety, we only provide milk & cereal.
Important Noise disruption notification: Guests please be informed that there is construction next to our dwelling. Most of the time, the tradies start at 7am and finish by 5pm on daily basis except for the weekend. We apologise in advance for any disturbance caused and appreciate your kind understanding towards the noise caused by the construction work!
Our area is going to enter into FTTP (Fibre to the premises) soon, and as the provider goes through this transition from FTTC (Fibre to the curb) to FTTP, there will be at times internet might be interrupted and please be rest assured we as hosts will do our very best to get the connection as stable as we can for you during the time of disruption. We appreciate your kind understanding to this matter.
Bedding
We provide our guests a queen size bed (if you need a extra single bed we can accomodate at extra cost). Linen and towels are always washed and changed every time for each check in. We provide extra electrical blanket in winter months and an aircon/heating unit for guests to use all year round.
Facilities
Given size of room, we are only able to offer a small bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, plates, bowls and cups as it doesn't come with a kitchen and NO washing machine. There is a foldable desk you can use for work or study.
Shall anything is missing or not working or you need, please feel free to ask for help via messaging us or knock our door during your stay we will be more than delighted to assist.
Accessibility concerns
There are few steps leading up towards entry to your bedroom as shown in the photo. If wheelchair access or shower chair is needed, please let us know in advance and it can be arranged. There are plenty of free street parkings available.
We have put in a self check in lockbox system for guests' comfort to check in whatever time they want and not be in any sort of pressure to have to check in by certain time. Guests are STRONGLY encouraged to read through the check in step by step instructions which will be included in our welcome email with the lockbox code prior to arriving at the accommodation. We are here to help if you have any difficulty in checking in.
Guests have access to our backyard where we are growing organic vegetables and fruits and are welcome to have them. Please excuse the messiness around the garden and courtyard areas as we are currently refurbishing outside premises of the house and our next door neighbour is currently building his house, so there will be noise from construction from the time of 7am to 4pm on daily basis. We apologise for any disturbance caused and endeavour to keep the premises as neat, comfortable and accident free as possible for our guests.
As we are surrounded by greenery around premises, and as much as we try our best to ensure there are no spiders etc in the room when cleaners do the clean, there will be occasional spiders or small insects that will somehow find their way into the room and in which case, we will be more than happy to help our guests remove them as they find needed. We thank you in advance for your kind understanding.
This property is conveniently located in between Clayton and Oakleigh. Clayton offers wonderful selection of different Asian cuisine and grocery shops as well as Aquatics & Health Club and Library; Oakleigh is rather known as a Greek get together location with cafes serving wonderful selection of coffee, cakes and food. For more information where you can get grocery or food, please refer to our ******** local guidebook or speak to us directly for more guidance.
At both locations, there are supermarkets that open to 12mid night on daily basis and time may varies due to COVID restrictions at times.
To Nearest Train Station - Oakleigh
Our house is a 500metres a 5 to 7 minutes to walk to bus stop that has several bus routes including 800, 802, 804, 862 that go past on daily basis which will get guests to Oakleigh Train Station. From there, guests can hop onto another bus that goes to Chadstone Shopping Centre.
To Melbourne City
To get to Melbourne Flinders Street Station or CBD, it will take a good 30-40 minutes on public transport. There is a direct #800 series bus that you can take just opposite from our place that will get you into Oakleigh Train station. From there, it is another 30 minutes train ride into Melbourne CBD. We strongly suggest our guests to refer to ******** for more exact live travel times to plan your trip.
To Monash Uni Clayton Campus
By walking, it takes15 minutes to walk there via Bayview Ave. (There is a short cut sometimes ******** map does not show. #800 series buses that goes directly to Monash University Bus terminal just a 2 mins walk to bus stop from our place on Princes Highway. Please ask host for more information.
From Tullamarine International/Domestic Airport
Via car/uber Tullamarine International/Domestic Airport is a 48 mins car ride to our place

Melbourne is famous for four seasons in a day. It can be 40 degree in the morning and becomes 16 degree in the afternoon. So you need both clothes for warm/hot and cold weathers. Please check the weather report each day before you going out for the sudden changes in Melbourne. Sometimes in the summer you wake up with a sunny hot day and you think it will stays the same till you get back home, it doesn’t. It can become almost like winter in the afternoon.
Since COVID !9, we have adopted a whole new cleaning procedure to ensure bedroom is sanitised and cleaned thoroughly as we understand our guests will appreciate a cleaner and sanitised environment to be living in when they stay with us. And when we say NO SMOKING, it means inside and outside of the room. If guests are caught smoking inside the room, we will not hesitate to charge extra for our cleaners have to spend extra hours to get rid of the smoke smell off the linen and room as we will like to make sure the room is clear of any smoke scent for our next incoming guests. Guests' cooperation will be greatly appreciated in regards to this matter. Thank you.
