Lakeside is one of Cape Town's quiet-yet-up-and-coming ******** has the perfect mix of seaside chill factor, along with access to some of our favourite beaches which host a huge variety of water sports, and general beaching! Muizenberg, which is a quick drive down the road, is a favourite for surfers, kite-boarders and family looking to enjoy the warmer side of Cape Town's oceans (it really is substantially warmer!). There are shops within walking distance, including a Woolworths and some restaurants, and the area is completely self-sufficient.
It is always easiest to have a car, whether your own or a hired car (give us a shout, we can point you in the right direction) as being mobile will allow you to fully explore the wonders of the Southern Peninsula. Uber is readily available, and train rides down to Simonstown or into the CBD can be real fun!
