Fernando welcomes you!
I believe that reaching out globally and sharing cultures and experiences can help change the world for the better, one person at a time. At the Oasis, you are likely to be sharing a NY experience and global perspectives with new Asian, European and Latin American friends; these are the house guests. I offer a boutique experience making guests feel at home. This is evident from several body wash dispensers in the spa bath to complimentary bottled water and breakfast with the occasional house BBQ/ dinner. I am a college teacher who works to make Chemistry and Physics relevant and engaging. I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and have been told by friends and guests, who I sometimes share my cooking with, that I make great meals. I'm interested in biking, racing and trek, working out, travel and meeting new people. I'm originally from Canada, just up the thruway. I bring the "joie de vivre" that Quebecois are famous for to my hosting. I've lived in several countries, provinces and states. Having been a guest abroad, I know how important a peaceful and comfortable place to stay is for a great trip. This is what I provide for you, a "home" not a "hotel", minutes to NYC and the North Hudson Valley. I speak English, Italian, and French fluently. I love dogs, but after my last one passed, I decided to take a break from that commitment so I can get back to traveling. I have had cats, ferrets (they all died of old age too), and many other pets. I'm very much a people person and keep a clean home. I've called the NYC area home for many years, having lived in Randolph, NJ, Brooklyn, NY and Westchester County. I have broad knowledge on NYC tourist areas and activities, if you want to pick my brain. Your oasis is walking distance to a great park, Tibbetts Brook Park, which has paved biking and walking trails. The neighborhood is safe and walkable with great homes with a great variety of styles in a mature neighborhood, Lincoln Park, in the city of hills, Yonkers. Automatic discounts up to 20% on weekly & monthly stays! Maybe I'll see you at my dining table soon? Come "home" from a long day! Ciao, for now!
