In the area guests can enjoy hiking, fishing, and Røldal ski resort is just over 70 km from the site. The famous Langfossen waterfall is just 30 km from the Etne Hytter, as well as the beginning of the Folgefonna National Park which is home to 3 plateau glaciers. Stavanger and its airport can be reached in 2.5 hours by car.
