The hotel has been visited by kings, queens, actors and writers. One such guest was Charles Dickens, our most famous former resident, stayed many times and mentions The Angel Hotel in The Pickwick Papers. Every room features bottled water as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The Angel Hotel is in the town centre, located next to Abbeygate Street with plenty of shops open to browse. The hotel is within walking distance of Theatre Royal and The Apex for those with tickets to see a show, and a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. The Angel Hotel also offers Valet Parking for an additional fee of £7.50 per 24 hours. On site parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Additional parking is available off site, however the hotel offers a dedicated concierge team to assist with car parking and a 24-hour front desk.
