The Estalagem de Marvão is located within the historic walled town center of Marvão. This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. All of the house’s air-conditioned rooms feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer, wooden floors, and flat-screen satellite TV. The building has been renovated, whilst maintaining its original structure, antique furniture and access to regional agricultural and handicraft products. A rich buffet breakfast, with regional products, is served each morning in the Estalagem’s dining room. There is also a communal kitchen with a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster and kettle, which guests can use upon request. Local restaurants are accessible within 50 metres from the house, all featuring typical Portuguese cuisine. The house has a comfortable lounge, complete with satellite TV and wood-burning stove for cold winter days. The property includes a small sunny patio, where guests can quietly relax. A tour desk is also a part of the Estalagem. Estalagem de Marvão houses a regional store: Mercearia de Marvão. This shop sells regional food products as well as arts and crafts associated with the ******** Inn provides guided tours inside the village and also on the mountain tracks around it. During summer, guests can use the municipal swimming pools for free, in Portagem. It is a 29-minute drive to Portalegre, with its many shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. The Estalagem de Marvão is a 24-minute drive from the border into neighbouring Spain.
