About the Place

Set around 2 outdoor pools, Estrela da Luz offers luxurious, self-catering apartments with private balconies. It is just 500 metres from the shops and seafood restaurants of Praia da Luz. All apartments are fully equiped, while some enjoy fantastic views. Their modern kitchens are spacious and fully equipped. Some are Superior apartments. In addition to outdoor swimming options, the Estrela features a tennis court facilities. The Techno-Gym has been designed by former footballer John Aldridge.

Accommodation policies

WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).

Pets are not allowed.

Children of any age are allowed. Children up to and including 1 year old stay for free when using an available cot. People no matter the age stay for € 20 per person per night when using an available extra bed. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property is taking steps to help protect the safety of guests and staff. Certain services and amenities may be reduced or unavailable as a result. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Food & beverage services at this property may be limited or unavailable due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property may request additional documentation from guests to validate identity, travel itinerary and other relevant information, during dates where such guidelines exist. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property adheres to strict physical distancing measures. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please ensure that you are only booking this property following the local government guidelines of the destination, including but not limited to the purpose of travel, and maximum allowed group size. A damage deposit of EUR 250 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that prepayment via credit card will be charged at the time of the reservation. Please note that each apartment can accommodate only 1 extra bed or 1 baby cot. The resort offers a maid service and towels changed twice a week and bed linen once a week (14 nights stay). Please note that the use of a swimming pool towel has an additional cost and it can be requested at the reception. Please note that guests will be asked to pay a security deposit of €250 at check-in to cover any damages during their stay. As an alternative to cash, this can be pre-authorized on the credit card and will be unblocked up to 24h after check-out. Please note that between the 1st and 13th of April, the family pool will be closed for maintenance work. During this period, the adults' pool will be heated and can be used by children. These works are part of the Resort's continuous improvement policy for the satisfaction and well-being of our guests.

Each partner has agreed to sign a non discrimination policy, in particular on the basis of sexual orientation.

Why add these listings?
We believe they are a good alternative in locations where we have less hosts/no host. They also address the needs of LGBTQ+ travelers who may occasionally be more interested in such listings rather than in the experience at a 100% gay resort or with a misterb&b host. At this point though, we haven’t been able to vet their welcoming attitude and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community.
