The quiet location with only four neighbors offers you an oasis of peace and closeness to nature. I buy fresh raw milk, eggs and wood for the winter directly from one of my four neighbors.
The house is old, but has a new, modern kitchen with a fridge, wine fridge, oven, steamer, warming drawer and dishwasher, which you are welcome to use. In summer, a large terrace invites you to linger, equipped with two sun loungers in the shade and one in the sun. There are two dining tables and several benches in secluded corners. There is a gas, charcoal and wood-fired barbecue for barbecue evenings.
There are also two balconies with dining areas for two people. Fitness enthusiasts can let off steam in the fully equipped gym in the former cowshed - old and a little dusty in places, but perfect for working up a sweat. You are also welcome to use the sauna for 2-3 people. There is a vegetable garden behind the house.
Although the house is remote, you can reach the city quickly: Zurich is 45 minutes away by car and 51 minutes by train from Fischenthal to Zurich main station. For mountain lovers, Chur can be reached by train in 1 hour and 44 minutes. From the train station, it's a 20-minute walk up to me.
Discover over 35 hiking trails in all directions right outside our door. Please note that two cats live in the house - ideal for animal lovers, but possibly problematic for allergy sufferers.
