Traditional mediterranean house next to the sea

Are you looking for relaxing holidays in a typical mediterranean village not far away from Barcelona?
Canet de Mar is a cozy place next to the Mediterranean sea, half way between Barcelona and Costa Brava and with many interesting places to visit. We have lots of Art Nouveau buildings, a nudist gay beach and and some monuments that have been used in films like Games of Thrones.

I’m not offering a usual B&B hosting. I like to share my daily life with my hosts (if wanted) sharing the whole house, a separate room or we can share all spaces if you prefer. I offer traditionan and local self cooked catalan gastronomy, I can recomend places to visit or visit them together explaining history, culture and architecture highlights. We can also plan customized tours to Barcelona and surounding famous spots like Sitges.

My house is located 2 minutes walking from the beach and from the center of the village, and it is only 5 minutes away from the train station, which has direct connection with Barcelona (55 minutes). There is also a highway connecting it with the airport (1h).

I'll host you in a traditional house that I have refurbished on my own, combining old materials with all modern facilities. It is divided into two main floors and an upper terrace. On the ground floor you will find a nice hall with a workshop room that it can be used for many activities, there is also a toilet with a shower and two other rooms surrounding a typical "patio" with a fountain.

You can access the second floor through the elegant stairways. There, you will find a big bedroom with a double bed and a balcony to the street, a light bathroom with an open shower, a living room with a fireplace and another balcony to the "patio", and the kitchen wich also contains its private terrace. Among the facilities, you will find wifi, tv, an oven, a microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and a ceiling fan.

There is also an upper terrace with great views to the church and the city skyline. It is possible to see the sea, because I'm very close to it, but I will not highlight that. You can sunbathe in the terrace during all day and you also have an outdoor shower in case you want to get refreshed.

It is a calm and relaxing place, specially for men who want to enjoy a nice and relaxing trip to Barcelona, but with the charm of an authentic place out of city stress, business and noises.

Among my hobbies, I like reading (the house is a perfect place to do it), painting, swimming in the beach (there is a nudist beach only 10 minutes walking), relaxing and experimenting body and mind balance. I like to keep fit, so I regularly train in the gym or in the swimming pool.

In Canet, the small village, we also have a market of fresh products, a museum, a nice gym with a pool, and many restaurants and bars. It is also possible to do many hiking or biking routes as the village is surrounded by green pine forests.
