My apartment is located on the 4th and top floor of a small and quiet apartment building (that has an elevator). It was built in the sixties and has been renovated to meet modern standards.
It overlooks a city park in the front and a large private garden owned by a neighbour in the back. It has a balcony in the back that has sunshine from dawn till late in the afternoon, perfect for breakfast and lunch in open air.
The rooms have some original features like the doors and the floor in the living room, but with a clean and white interior and mostly contemporary furniture the apartment looks airy and bright.
It has a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, a large bedroom and a small bedroom. The large bedroom has a bed that fits 2 adults, the bed in the small bedroom is narrow (1,20 meter) and fits 1 adult or 2 children. Curtains that block out the light are installed in both bedrooms.
In addition to this, I have a garage I can vacate for you to park your car safely and free of charge.
My apartment is perfect for people who like to be close to the centre of Ghent. It is a perfect starting point to discover the city, but at the same time it is a nice and cosy place to hang out if you feel like staying in.

My apartment is located on the edge of the neighborhood called Ekkergem, within the ring road R40 circumventing the heart of Ghent. You can reach it easily by tram and by car. Grocery stores are within walking distance.
It takes a 10 minute walk to reach the historical city center and basically every place in Ghent. For years I went everywhere by foot and didn't even have a bike, although now I have one and I'm happy to let you use it.
If you like nature, there is a city park in front of the apartment where you can walk or have a picnic. There is also an impressive natural preserve (called Bourgoyen) nearby. You can go there by foot to spot birds, take a long walk and enjoy nature at it's best.

Since me and my neighbours like it quiet, throwing parties is not a great idea. However, the bars and cafés of Ghent are close by if you like a night out. I prefer people who don't smoke. Drugs are completely off the table.
