The photo reflects a down comforter on the bed, but in the summer heavy cotton quilts can be used...all in all, you will find things to be extremely comfortable and not shabby! The bed is a king sized Sleep Number bed with the two sides having separate adjustments for firmness on each side.
The bedroom gets morning light but there are blackout shades.
Please note the stairs, and that we have two wonderful cats who are not permitted at all on the third floor. There is a door at the bottom of your steps on the second floor that is kept closed. With the hardwood floors we're able to keep things very hypoallergenic

There is a second room with a desk, rower, bookcase, and couch, all next to the bedroom that you will have to yourself.
Additionally there are mini-splits for both heat and cooling in both of your rooms on the third floor to control your temperature preference.
