About the Place Initially in English, this text was translated via a machine translation service and may contain inaccuracies or errors.
The flat is a slightly unconventional split-level attic conversion situated in a 19th-century city palace in a wonderfully central Ljubljana location that’s especially easy to reach from the train and bus station.
You’ll find tons of cafes, bars, restaurants, and Ljubljana’s beautiful Tivoli park within easy reach of my flat. If you’re looking for a Ljubljana base with a great location and lots of personality, I think you’ll really enjoy staying at my place!
APARTMENT:
So the full set of spaces is:
living room
kitchen
bathroom
hallway
balcony
3x bedroom
Each of the bedrooms has a double bed, and there is both a double and a single futon in the living room that can be folded out in a pinch (if you end up having unexpected company).
Oh, and there is also a 3-seater sofa in the kitchen, that is surprisingly cosy to sleep on. And one of the bedrooms has a proper Colombian hammock. So all-in-all, the place can quite comfortably sleep ten people if need be. But with only one bathroom, I wouldn't advise it. XD
NEIGBOURHOOD DESCRIPTION:
Basically, the neighbourhood is "The Center".
You’ll find tons of cafes, bars, restaurants, and Ljubljana’s beautiful Tivoli park - all within easy reach of my flat. Also the museums, galleries and sights are next door. Even the LJ Castle is only about a 15min. walk (and that just because it's uphill... XD ).
GETTING AROUND:
First and foremost - you can walk almost everywhere you'd actually want to go straight from the flat. Ljubljana is not that big after all. Should you want to use a bike, there is the "BicikeLJ" public bike rental system which has pick-up/drop-off stations all over the city. Also, there is a bike shop across the street where you can rent a bike for a longer time. The public bus stop where all the main lines flow through is around the corner and up the street - a 1 min. walk. The busses use the same "Urbana" card the city bikes do. ; ) If you want to travel further out of town, the main train&bus station is just a bit further than the city bus one - a 5 min. walk (if you drag your feet a bit). And since all the major airport shuttles stop in front of the main train station, geting to the airport is a breeze as well... Last but not least, parking. There is a public parking garage in an adjacent street (Dvoržakova ulica - a 3 min. walk), but it can get expensive if you are in town for a longer time. It IS possible to park on the street right next to the building (Kersnikova ulica), just don't forget to either get the ticket from the machine, or use the EasyPark app - the fines aren't high, but the municipality is ruthless about them and checks several times per day. Of course, as with any street parking, availability can be unpredictable... Oh, there is also an EV charging station on the same street and the parking is free while charging. Hope this covers everything, but if you have any questions about it, I'll be happy to answer. : )

Nearby Attractions Initially in English, this text was translated via a machine translation service and may contain inaccuracies or errors.
With Ljubljana being as small as it is, and the apartment's central location, all the main haunts are within easy walking distance.
The only LGBTQ bar in Ljubljana - "Pritličje" is one example. Located on the Mestni trg square (next to the city hall), it's a nice place for either a summer coffee on the terrace, or an evening drink...
The gay/lesbian club duo "Tiffany/Monokel", located in the Metelkova autonomous zone (open Fridays and Saturdays), is maybe 7 mins. At an easy sauntering pace.
And one of Ljubljana's most renowned clubs - K4, is literally around the corner on Kersnikova street. While not explicity LGBTQ, it is gay-friendly and also organizes the so-called "K4 ROZA" (K4 pink) events on selected Saturdays. (Actual dates should be on their ******** page.)

House rules...
TBH, I'm pretty relaxed about those. Let's say they are more like guidelines, or request from my side.
The flat is split into two levels. The lower part is more public, so we wear shoes all the time. The upper has some rugs tho, so wearing slippers (there's a bunch in the flat) - or just going barefoot, would be great.
: )
There are about 40 potted plants in the flat. While most are quite hardy (and watered copiously before every hosting), should you notice any of them getting thirsty, I'd be very grateful if you could give them a drink form on of the (many) cans.
And of course, if you're having a party (which is perfectly fine with me XD ) just make sure you watch out for them.
On the same note, there is also a small garden on the balcony, which will definitely appreciate watering in the summer heat.
There's 10 types of herbs growing, and you should totally use them for cooking if you'd like.
I don't generally stock much food at the place, but any that is there (pasta, sugar, flour, etc) is there to be used, so just help yourself to anything you need.
The trash, cleaning and linens will all be taken care of after you depart, so you don't have to worry about that. The bins are pretty big, so I don't expect you'll fill them during your stay, but should that happen, just contact me and I will either come take care of that, or (if I'm not in town), give you instructions on how&where to do it.
The place has 4 sets of BT speakers and an AndroidTV projector. If you run into any trouble getting them to work, please don't hesitate to get in touch. (We all know how finicky BT can be...)
And that, I think, is that.
