Welcome to my house.
I have been letting a room in my apartment for almost twenty years a lot of happy guests and hundreds of new friends. Any question you may have about the city I am here to help.
I come to to live here about 25 years ago to study Art History at the University of Venice, and fell in love with the city: result I got stuck in the bunch of islands.
The Bed and Breakfast is located in the quarter of Cannaregio, a part of the city that offers an authentic taste of Venetian life and little-known artistic gems.
Only a five-minute walk from the train station, within twenty minutes of St. Mark's Square, and even close to the ancient Jewish Ghetto, this lovely loft is a great base to explore the city on foot and by boat, and to embark towards the history-laden islands of the lagoon as Murano (with its world-famous glass makers), Burano and Torcello.
The apartment is on the top floor of a sixteenth-century building, unfortunately without elevator, there are three floors to climb on a comfortable staircase.
The bed-room reserved for guests is spacious and bright, with its own private deck, air-conditioning, radio, and the adjacent bathroom.
The service includes continental breakfast, beddings and towels, and other amenities to make your stay more pleasant.
I take a particular care preparing the breakfast. You'll always find fresh bread, butter, marmalade, orange juice, yogurt, brioches, biscuits, müesli, corn flakes, and anything you need for a good start of the day.
In the good season, if you like, the breakfast could be served on the terrace, in the winter season, is served in the kitchen.
I speak a quite fluent English, and some French and Spanish besides Italian of course.
I am looking forward to suggesting you interesting places and activities for your most pleasant visit of of the city.
You will have access to all the house, exept my private room, the two terraces, the kithchen, entrance, bathroom and clearly the guestroom.
I try to spend as much time as I can with my guests, normally at the check in time I give a first survey of the city and the majour informations on what to see and when, then during breackfast time I normally help to set up the plans for the day.
MPORTANT NOTE:
From August 24 2011, the Venice City Council introduced a Torist Tax
Venice City Tax is used to fund tourism, maintenance of Venice's cultural heritage sites and the environment as well as public services.
This Tourist tax is to be paid upon arrival by all guests and is applicable for stays up to a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.
