Unique garden house in historic lively neighbourhood

Unique one bedroom flat with an amazing garden in one of the most upcoming areas in Milan; live in a village within the city, 10 minutes drive from the airport and 30 minutes bus ride to the Duomo. Enjoy the amazing bars and restaurants which the culture and history rich neighbourhood of Ortica has to offer.

The apartment is located at the ground floor of a "casa di ringhiera", a traditional Milanese house with shared balconies. Before my flat was renovated it used to be a barn, and later on a laboratory for a bakery.
The apartment is composed by a living - kitchen area, a spacious bedroom, a toilet and a very large garden. The third guest will have to sleep in the livingroom: the sofa you see in the pictures gets longer and turns into a single bed (it is not the most comfy you will find but it does the job).

Guests will have full access to my home. Please remember: I live in this flat, so all my personal belongings will be around. If you are a minimalist or if you are looking for a super tidy house, better find another place which could better suit you.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
-I live in this flat, so all my personal belongings are around the house. I ask you to kindly respect this and refrain from moving objects around.
-My house has a garden: this means that there will be mosquitos during summer and other small insects. If you don't want them you must keep the window closed, but you might find a fly or a small spider around the house due to the garden and all my plants being around.
-I might not be around for check in: you might be asked to go pick up the keys somewhere else in Milan (Porta Romana area), but you will be told before booking.
-In case of self check in/out, please follow my instructions
-I ONLY PROVIDE SMALL TOWELS: I don't have big towels for when you shower, so please bring your own. In case you REALLY need one let me know in advance and I MIGHT be able to provide you with one.

The neighbourhood of "Ortica" is one of the historical districts of Milan. In the most recent years it has seen renewed popularity as it has been transformed into an open air museum: all his streets have incredibles murales which tell the story of Milan, its resistance against nazi-fascism and celebrates notable milanese which gave a particular contribution to the culture of the city. Moreover, Ortica is full of bars, restaurants and pubs. One of the most unique places in Milan where you can enjoy a meal, a drink and live music, the Balera dell'Ortica, is just a minute walk away. The handcraft beer house Impronta birraia is 5 minutes away. If you are into sweets you can enjoy the Sicilian bakery house on your doorstep. I could go on for a while, but you will find a list of the neighbours hangout in the flat.

In general, the neighbourhood is very safe and has a few shops nearby where you can find everything you need.

Ortica is quite well connected to the city center. The bus stop 54 which will take you straight to the Duomo in under 30 minutes is less than a minute walk away. If you want to enjoy a bit more of a traditional experience you can catch the tram 5 which will also take you to the center (at a slightly lower pace); the stop is less than 5 minutes walk away.

From Linate airport you can catch a taxy as it is litterally less than 10 minutes drive. The only issue with the taxy is that you will pay 14,50 even if the taxy meter says 10 as it is the minimum charge from Linate. Otherwise you can catch the bus 73 and walk 15 minutes. We now also have the metro! From touchdown to my door is 35 minutes.
