The Ranch, located in Descanso 40 minutes east of San Diego. It is a great base for numerous hiking options in the mountains from neighboring Cuyamaca state park and lake to Mt Laguna and the Borrego desert in the shoulder seasons. It's also about 30 minutes away from the gold mining/apple town of Julian.
We offer our 2020 5th wheel trailer for your stay. It has an equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge/freezer and microwave. Fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. TV for DVDs/Blu Ray. Bath with toilet, sink and shower. Queen size bed with new Nectar Hybrid mattress and 600TC cotton sheets. If you wish to have another 1-2 people join you, the dinette can be made into a full size bed. Not the most comfortable but for camping it can be good. There is also an outdoor camp stove and griddle cooking area at the rear of the trailer should you wish to cook outside. The BBQ on the house cook deck is also available for your use.
Your 'campsite' includes a picnic table and sitting area and backs to the property and the mountain behind us offering some privacy. The trailer has lithium battery solar for 110 power which can run limited AC and other appliances. There is now WiFi available at the trailer and the pool. Also we have good AT&T and Verizon coverage at the ranch.
Our outdoor gym (under cover) offers a full dumbbell set from 2.5-100#, Free Motion cable machine, stationary bike and kettle bells.
The pool and spa are open to use when the weather warms up late spring to fall.
Feel free to go clothing optional around the campsite and pool area.
We are a 7.5 acre working Alpaca ranch and also have chickens and Lady Amhurst pheasants. There are extensive gardens for you to wander or just sit and relax in one of the many sitting areas.

Just a short stint up the highway into the Cuyamaca state park provides options for Oakzanita Peak, Cuyamaca Peak, and Stonewall Peak. There is fishing and good food available at Cuyamaca Lake. Julian (30min) has many options for eating as well as their famous apple pie. Further hiking is available in Mt Laguna as well as a couple of restaurant options. Pine Valley offers the same. The Descanso Junction is our go to place for any meal and offers outdoor entertainment and food during the warm months in their 'Outback'.
In the shoulder season you can do some day trips to the Anza Borrego desert, there are many cool places to visit there and we can give you tips on where to go depending on what you are looking for.

Hi Folks, The WW Alpaca Ranch is a working ranch so we do have some ranch rules. For the most part you are free to roam the propery and enjoy all the garden and sitting areas, view deck, patios, outdoor cook deck/BBQ on the house, pool area, spa and outdoor shower. The animal paddocks are off limits unless you are escorted by one of us. If you go through a closed gate on the property, please close it after you. We have a livestock guardian dog to protect the property and the Alpacas from predators, please don't play with or approach her.
Feel free to go clothing optional around your campsite and the pool area, but cover up in other areas of the ranch. Please sit on a towel or clothing on the furniture in the trailer.
You should have everything you need to make meals in the trailer, there are dishes, pots and pans. Besides the stovetop, oven and microwave, there is an outside kitchen with camp stove and a griddle that can be setup. You are also welcome to use the BBQ down at the ranch house on the cook deck. Beyond that there are several good restaurant choices available between 5-20 min away.
WiFi is now available in thr trailer and the pool. check with the host for code. We also have good coverage with AT&T as well as Verizon but not T-Mobile or other services. It's good enough to create a hotspot in the trailer and stream things on the TV.
We have and extensive pre 2014 movies on DVD/Blu Ray we can lend to watch on the TV in the trailer should you need some other entertainment.
