About the Place Initially in English, this text was translated via a machine translation service and may contain inaccuracies or errors.
We'd be delighted to welcome you to our 135 m² home: an old Arcachonnaise renovated and raised in 2021, in wood-frame construction, where it's good to live (reversible air conditioning).
You have a bedroom with its own en-suite shower room (see photos).
You also have access to the living room, kitchen and dining room overlooking the south-facing garden (ideal for breakfast and a cigarette). There is a private toilet close to the room.
To help you make the most of your stay, we've provided wifi, household linen, shower gel, shampoo, brochures on Bordeaux (and surrounding areas) and umbrellas.
Our house is located :
- 350 m from Bègles train station (Bordeaux/Bègles: 4 minutes by train),
- 150 m from bus line 15 (direct access to downtown Bordeaux - 20 minutes to "Victoire" station)
- and a 10-minute walk from streetcar line C (12-minute streetcar ride to Bordeaux train station and 20-minute ride to Place de la Bourse in the city center).
- 3 minutes by bus from streetcar stop C
If you come by car, you can park for free on our street. We're less than 10 minutes by car from the ring road: perfect for escaping to Saint-Emilion or the ocean.
A 10-minute walk from the house, the 15-hectare Parc de Mussonville is perfect for a morning jog, or not ;-)
One last piece of information: Jasper, our cat, does not accept the company of other animals. For this reason, we cannot welcome you with a pet.
We look forward to meeting you.

Bordeaux, strong in its history and its dynamism, is a city with a rich heritage, with many sites and monuments, historical or modern, with a traditional and typical art of living.
Bordeaux has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007.
1. SMALL SELECTION OF ESSENTIALS OF BORDEAUX AND ITS HERITAGE:
- With the Grand Théâtre, the Cours du Chapeau-Rouge is the most "royal" artery where the neo-classical canons in terms of architecture are displayed.
- Opening onto the river, the Place de la Bourse is the first major achievement of Bordeaux town planning in the 18th century. On the quays, is the water mirror which alternates effects of mirror and fog.
- Along the quays stands the Porte Cailhau, the Renaissance triumphal arch. The Middle Ages are present in the Saint-Pierre district.
- The culmination of the Grosse Cloche symbolizes the municipal authority and the arms of the city in medieval times.
- The Saint-André cathedral and the Pey-Berland tower form a particularly attractive ensemble since the urban developments linked to the tramway.
- Going up towards Place Gambetta, you will leave on the left the Palais Rohan established between courtyard and garden, which has become the Town Hall.
2. MUSEUMS AND EXHIBITIONS
If the Cité du Vin is a must in Bordeaux, there are many other museums:
- CAPC Museum of Contemporary Art
- MECA: House of the creative and cultural economy in New Aquitaine
- CAP SCIENCE
- Museum of Aquitaine
- Museum of Decorative Arts and Design
- Underwater base: pool of lights
3. AROUND BORDEAUX
The Bassin d'Arcachon is the largest body of water in France, the Gironde estuary the largest in Europe, the Dune du Pilat the highest sand dune in Europe...
It is easy to discover the Bordeaux vineyards, whether within the metropolis itself, or thanks to excursions in the vineyards of less than a day.
Some suggestions ********
We will recommend you addresses of bars and restaurants ;-)
