Playa De Los Muertos, or "Beach of the Dead" (named for the nearby cemetary) is one of our favorites and my personal favorite, Playa Carricitos. Carricitos is a little more challenging to get to, you will have to hike down from the road... and carry everything with you... there are no bars or restaurants serving Playa Carricitos... maybe that's why it's not too crowded!
Wildlife lovers will have to witness a sea turtle release from Aug-Dec on the North end of Playa Sayulita. It can be quite a moving experience to witness the baby turtles struggle to get to the ocean.
There are many nearby jungle trails to explore. Make sure you take plenty of water with you!!
