Hidden gem overlooking Taupō - 5 minutes to town!

Look out to the Taupō town centre, the mouth of the Waikato River and Mt Ruapehu right from your sofa! The neighbourhood includes the popular camping and swimming spot, Reid’s Farm, and The Huka Falls are just a 2-minute drive away.
This is a modern house, but the natural wood features give it a cosy cabin feel that fit perfectly in its garden surroundings. From the lounge, you can see the lake in the distance with Mt Ruapehu in full view.

The house sleeps a total of eight people. There are two bedrooms with a separate bathroom upstairs, one with a super king bed and the second one with a double bed. On the ground floor there are another two bedrooms with a queen bed each and a second bathroom.

One of the downstairs bedrooms is semi contained with its own kitchen sink and fridge. Behind this is a double garage with parking space for another two cars just outside in the private driveway.

The spacious lounge has plenty of seating around a large TV and covered gas fireplace. There is also a heat pump, a gas fireplace in the lounge area, and portable heaters in each room. There are three outdoor seating areas; one aside the lounge, one via a cosy reading nook in the hallway and a third accessible from both the two upstairs bedrooms. Perfect for entertaining and relaxing all year round.

There is a barbecue for you to use. This is offered 'as is', as it is not a part of our cleaner's schedule. Please ensure you clean it after use so it can be used by the next guest.

The home is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a spectacular view of Gates Park Reserve, where you can watch the adventurous begin their float down the river.

This quiet neighbourhood is largely populated by retirees. It is not far from the Waikato River where you can take a quick dip in the summer. Simply head to Reid’s Farm for a beautiful picnic and swimming area or drive across the river to the Otumuheke hot pools, off Spa Road.

When booking, please advise how many beds you require, and we will prepare that quantity for you. A highchair and baby cot may be available. Please enquire (bedding for the cot is not provided). Breakfast items are not provided but there is plenty of tea, coffee, and basic cooking necessities such as salt, pepper, and oil.

For the sake of our neighbours, noise must be kept indoors and to a minimum after 10pm. There are strict no parties, smoking or pets rules in all Be My Guest properties.

If you are booking this property on a platform other than ********, an authorisation hold is required. This hold will be captured as a ‘preauthorisation of funds’ from your payment card, prior to arrival and will be auto released 2 days from check-out, so long as no damage or costs have been incurred. The 'hold' for this property is $350.

All Be My Guest linen comes from our professional linen supplier. It is thermally disinfected at temperatures high enough to eliminate germs and risks such as Covid-19. In order to keep the linen costs for your stay economical, we do not provide face cloths.
