Nestor's House

la Casa is situated in the old fishermen village, called "Ortola", in front of Villa Arbusto, a very scenic place and former home of the Milanese tycoon Angelo Rizzoli, which then became the Archaeological Museum, where the famous "Nestor's Cup" (8th century BC.) is kept, on which there is the famous lyric mentioned in the Homeric poem "The Iliad". In the gardens of the Villa we organize classical music concerts, jazz music and other cultural events. In a distance of 50 meters there is the Piazza Santa Restituta, with the church itself and the underlying excavations, in which remains of the early Christian were found. From the square in the center of the village, which is a pedestrian zone from 6 pm, along the main street there are the beaches, the tourist port of Lacco Ameno, churches, spas, shopping stores, and all the links to other places on the island of Ischia as well as sailings to the mainland. Finally, just 300 meters away from the house, there is the beautiful beach of San Montano Bay and the spa gardens "Negombo". At one kilometer away is the Botanical Garden "La Mortella".

The apartment is located in the old part of the fishermen "Ortola", opposite Villa Arbusto. This former residence of the Milanese tycoon Angelo Rizzoli, with the magnificent view up to Vesuvius, is now the Pithekusa Archaeological Museum. There is kept the famous "Nestor Cup"(8th century B.C.), on which there is the original inscription from Homer's poem "The Iliad". Concerts of classical music, jazz music and other cultural events are organized in the gardens of the villa. 50 meters away is the square and the church of Santa Restituta, with the excavations where remains of the early Christian and Greek settlement were found. From the square in the center of the town begins the shopping mile along the sea, which from 18.00 becomes a pedestrian zone. Along it there are small beaches, the tourist port, churches, spas, shops of Lacco Ameno. The bus stop with buses to other towns of the island of Ischia and the ferry port are at the end of the promenade. Only 300 meters from the house, nestled in the romantic bay of San Montano, is the sandy beach and the thermal park "Negombo". One kilometer is the botanical garden "La Mortella".
