Room of Landscapes

The "Room of Landscapes" is located inside the apartment called "Rooms at the Genius - Residences" located on the second floor of Palazzo Torre Pirajno. The "Landscapes Room" takes its name from the extraordinary decorations with 19th-century landscapes and details in pure gold on the vault. It is a room with double bed with balcony and private bathroom with shower, has Wifi and TV and double-glazed windows. The room has an antique floor from the early 20th century that has been recently restored and is furnished with a wrought-iron bed, a chest of drawers, and an antique closet. The room is very bright and overlooks Magione Street from which you can see the portal of the Magione church, Palazzo Tommaso Natale and the adjacent convent. The "Room of Landscapes" is one of the 4 rooms in the apartment called "Stanze al Genio Residences," which still has the antique floors and all the rooms frescoed with 19th-century and Art Nouveau motifs. It is also the home of a collector, and the furnishings are largely made up of antique Sicilian furniture; in each room there are antique tiles, prints, paintings and design objects that characterize its appearance. Of the 8 rooms that make up the apartment only 4 are bedrooms as it was preferred to leave the original division with more reception and/or transit rooms. The rooms are all air conditioned and equipped with TV and free Wifi available to guests. There is also a terrace for common use that overlooks the inner courtyard of the building and where some pets (cats) stay. Each of these rooms is double-glazed and furnished differently (hence the name "Residences") and has a private bathroom and a balcony for exclusive use. Breakfast is served in the "Great Hall," with a characteristic Art Nouveau majolica floor and Art Nouveau decoration. On the second floor of the same building is the Majolica Museum "Stanze al Genio," which can be visited year-round by reservation. An ideal place for those who want to stay in a typical Sicilian house and in one of the well-preserved neighborhoods (Kalsa) of the historic center of Palermo and with many attractions just a few meters away.
