The Smithy at Okel Tor Mine riverside retreat - views, wildlife, ruins

No parties or events. Max 2 adults. No smoking is permitted in the cottage. Only the guests whose names are mentioned upon booking will be permitted to stay in the cottage unless otherwise agreed. Pets are allowed (max 2) - there is a small charge of £30 which must be paid when the booking is confirmed - we will supply throws for the soft furnishings. We request that guests sort their rubbish and use the re-cycling facilities provided. Guests are responsible for replacing or paying for any articles damaged or lost, for leaving the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and returning the key to the person or place where they obtained it.

There is restricted mobile reception - limited EE reception is available - however there is a landline in the cottage which accepts both incoming and outgoing calls. There is free WiFi.

The Count House is approximately 15 metres away but is screened by vegetation. The gardens are not enclosed but privacy will be respected by the guests staying in The Count House and by the owner, Nick, however you might be paid a visit by his dog Jess! The Count House guests will have access to the shared washing machine which is in a lean-to adjacent to the living room end of The Smithy.

The Smithy is approached down a single track well-made-up public bridlepath which is fine for most vehicles, but if you have a very low slung sports car or other vehicle you are concerned about please check suitability.

There is a parking space approximately 50 metres from the cottage (you can park outside the cottage to load/unload). There is additional parking for additional or low-slung vehicles just off the road at the top of the bridlepath (a few hundred metres away from the cottage).
