From the condo next to the GAY Sunset Beach, you can walk to the Ka-Tiki Bar (name the best FL beach bar), or the Caddy's Waterfront restaurant. At the other end of the island (~2 miles) you can visit Johns' Pass with lots of restaurants, pubs, souvenir stores. You can rent a boat or schedule a dolphin tour.
You may want to rent a car (2 parking places included) - as you may need for groceries. It is walking distance to a pub and a resto next to the beach. There is a 7-11. There is a Publix (grocery store) about one mile away, a nice bike ride.
