I'm an urban explorer and landscape architect by trade who loves the great outdoors (skiing, canoeing, camping, biking). Born and raised in Brazil I have lived in the US for a couple of years before moving to Canada back in 2000. I love meeting people and discussing about travel, food, politics, urban design, arts, and of course, the meaning of life. When traveling I enjoy meeting with locals and this way getting to know the city way better than a regular tourist.
Other interests include: foreign languages (I'm trying to improve on my Italian while getting started in Greek, and I currently speak English, French, Portuguese and Spanish), photography, arts, cooking (really enjoy it!), music, spirituality.
Favorite music and films
La Grande Bellezza, Hævnen(In a better world). Wayne Dyer's "The Shift", Woody Allen's Fading Gigolo. Almost all of Almodovar's movies. Music ? Euh, almost anything, from the classics U2, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, to R.E.M., Coldplay, Moby, to Brazilian electronica (Rosália de Sousa, Bebel Gilberto), Beirut, Patrick Watson, Smashing Pumpkins, José González, Sigúr Ros, Arcade Fire, eastern European, gypsy, middle eastern, actually anything with a catchy rhythm that makes you feel like getting up on the tables and dancing your ass out.... oh, ok, well maybe after a few drinks.... I really just don't seem to be able to get a taste for Rap, hip-hop or country. Everything else is cool.
