WHY STAY ANYWHERE ELSE?
Our Luxe tent is luxury camping at its finest. It includes a queen bed, an incredibly comfortable queen sleeper sofa, linens and quilt or down comforter, pillows, two sleeping pads on the floor for kids or hardy adults, fan, coffee/tea, towels, electricity & lights, mini refrigerator, wood stove, clothes organizer, and more.
This glamping tent does not have a bathroom but our renovated cedar bath house is just a short walk away (about 300’). This is the nicest campground bathroom you'll ever see, with tiled floors, live edge countertops, and new fixtures everywhere. It actually smells _good_ if you can believe that. And while the bath house is a shared space, don't worry about it being crowded--it gets minimal use because our campground is small and many of our guests will be staying in cabins with their own bathrooms. The bath house has 3 clean, individual showers with gloriously hot water.
The tent is located in the recently renovated campground at the Desert of Maine, an iconic tourist attraction established in 1926. The campground is small, quiet, and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines at the edge of the Desert’s rolling sand dunes which were deposited there at the end of the last ice age. The tourist attraction includes fascinating exhibits about the history, ecology, geology of the Desert, activities for kids, a train ride, mini golf, and much more. Campground guests enjoy free access to the dunes after hours, and discounted tickets for mini golf and general admission for daytime visits. Come to the place Where Wanderers Unwind.
You will have the entire glamping tent on a dedicated campsite, all to yourself. In addition, you will have access to our renovated, cedar bath house which is just steps away, with individual showers.
