Cozy Pine is in the Strayhorse Condo Complex, a family-oriented building close the Village. Ski-in & out from the door of this very comfortably furnished mountain retreat. Enjoy après ski time while staying cozy and warm and enjoying a view of the slopes. The fully-equipped kitchen and bright dining area are great to enjoy family meals together. The master bedroom also has a great view of the slopes and the living room has a futon sofa bed. Cozy furnishings and linens make this a home away from home! There is an entrance for coats & boots and free underground parking. Village amenities are nearby - the Trading Post convenience store and arcade, Gunbarrel Saloon, the Edge Bistro, Mountain ski/board shop, skating loop/rink and tube park with many great activities to enjoy your winter escape!

Strayhorse is at the heart of Apex Resort with ski-in/ski-out accommodations to make a great family destination! Apex Mountain Resort is in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, located 33 km west of Penticton. Apex is famous for dry Okanagan powder, short lift lines and quiet, serene slopes.
In just six minutes the high-speed quad chairlift reaches the top of the mountain and you can ski on 550 acres with 56 runs spread over 2 mountain faces (Apex and Beaconsfield Peaks). At Nickel Plate there are 52km of Nordic ski trails. The Tube Park and Adventure Skating Loop are close by for lots of fun winter activities! Visit the Gunbarrel Bar and Restaurant, The Edge Bistro, The Trading Post and a variety of other skier services including a Mountain Ski Shop and Rental Shop. Apex mountain is a training ground for the Canadian Ski Team, and Nickel Plate Nordic Centre has world class skiing & panoramic views as far as the coast!
In the summer, explore the back country hiking or biking meadows and pine forests. Watch for deer, black bear, coyotes, red-tailed hawks and other wildlife. Spend a relaxing day fishing at Nickel Plate Lake or there is access to the highlands of the Thompson Plateau where many small lakes are ideal for trout fishing. At short drive will have you in the beautiful Okanagan Valley and you have easy access to winery tours, golf courses, boating, and beaches. Penticton is also host to an internationally known hockey school, many festivals, events and races take place all year round.
Apex Ski Resort offers two chairlifts and a t-bar with a central village, skating loop, hockey rink and tube park, so meeting up with family and friends for fun activities is quick and easy! The hill has ski runs to suit every age & ability, and optional ski or snowboard lessons so visitors can learn some new techniques. The Strayhorse Condominium Complex is a short drive from Nordic skiing at Nickel Plate Nordic Centre. The summer months are also a wonderful to visit the resort, with easy access to alpine hiking and biking trails and fishing at Nickel Plate Lake.
Skiing, snowshoeing & hiking are right outside the front door, but you will need a car! Apex Resort is conveniently located 25 minutes from Penticton and 2 hours from Kelowna. Strayhorse is Ski-in/Ski-out with an easy glide to the village and ski lifts in about three to five minutes on the trail. It's a 10 minute walk to the village for restaurants, cafes, and shopping. The village has a regulation size hockey rink, a 1.5 k. skating loop through the trees, and skate rentals. The Nickel Plate cross-country area with heated chalet is a 10 minute drive.
