Gunnison Beach is the only clothing optional beach in New Jersey. Part of Gateway National Park, Sandy Hook has several beaches. Gunnison Beach, which is the farthest north, is clothing optional. If you go to the far right upon entering the beach, that area is predominantly gay.
Gunnison Beach runs along the coast of the Sandy Hook Peninsula in New Jersey. 55 miles from Manhattan, the beach offers a distant view of Brooklyn. This is the only nudist beach in the state, Gunnison has been a favorite destination for gay New Yorkers since the 70s.
Dunes and groves separate the beach from the residential area of the island. If the hectic engery of NYC is getting too much, and you're looking for a relaxing gay nude beach where you can enjoy some sun, sand, and other LGBTQ+ folk, Gunnison Beach is the place for you. It is recommended to access this beach by car, and it is serviced by a large parking lot with a fee. The nearest township is Fort Hancock.
We would like to thank misterb&b member, Shaun & Bob, for sharing this great gay beach suggestion with us.
