Le Grand Bleu, in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, has been awarded the Gay Friendly quality label. It offers sea trips in its glass-bottomed boats, with observation of sea beds and nature reserves. Dolphins are often encountered and whales are sometimes spotted. A free cocktail is offered on the sunset trip. Le Grand Bleu also runs trips departing from Sainte-Rose, on which dolphins can also be observed. Two types of trip are offered: ""Rivière de l'Est"" (Eastern River) trip lasting 45 mins and ""Pentes du Volcan"" (Volcano Slopes) lasting 90 mins.
