The beautiful La Lecciona Beach in Torre del Lago Puccini is arguably Italy's most famous gay beach. It is very crowded on weekends, with LGBTQ+ beachgoers mingling and soaking up some sun on the dreamy Mediterranean. The beach is clothing-optional, and offers a very carefree spirit. The beach is easily accessible, beside the main road that runs through the Marina Torre del Lago Puccini. The main localities in the area are Torre del Lago and Viareggio, and both are roughly 20 kilometers from the larger town of Lucca in Tuscany.
