If you find yourself in the Gallipoli area, and are looking for a relaxed gay-friendly beach that is a little out of Gallipoli's main town, head south to Pôr do Sol. The crowd is very mixed and very open, and you'll often find both gay Italians and tourists enjoying the golden sand during the warmer months. Drop towel, mingle with other gay beachgoers, and have a summer in Italy to remember.
Pôr do Sol is located in the town of Baia Verde, which is just a 30-minute walk from the main town of Gallipoli. Catching a sunset from either the beach, or the historic town is a must. In keeping with the open vibes of Puglia, you can expect a very LGBTQ+ friendly crowd at the beach and in the neighboring bars and restaurants.
