The beach of La Raitrie is one of the favorites of the gays of Nantes. Located an hour drive from Nantes, between Pornic and Préfailes, La Raitrie is a set of small nudist coves lined with cliffs, subject to changing tides (check the schedule!). A coastal path runs along the beach from the top of the cliff. Be careful, the entrance is very difficult, very steep. From Nantes, take the D13, follow the direction of Préfailles, and at the last traffic circle before la Plaine sur Mer, turn left completely, direction Préfailles on the D313. At the next traffic circle, turn left onto the D751 towards Ste Marie sur mer / Pornic by the coast. After a few hundred meters, turn right onto the road leading to the village of La Raitrie. Parking lots are indicated. Several paths lead to the beach. Naturalism is accepted, in the creeks and on the rocky base on the right, towards Port aux Goths.
